Suicide
Kagdapith police are investigating the death of an unidentified man who committed suicide by jumping into Kankaria Lake on Monday morning. An accidental death has been registered by the police.

House burgled
Cash and valuables worth Rs 68,000 were stolen from a house in Kubernagar after unidentified persons broke in through the back door. Mohiniben Motilal Navani has lodged a complaint with Sardarnagar police in the regard. The incident had happened sometime between 11 am and 11.30 am on Sunday, she stated in the complaint.

Traffic drive
City traffic police on Monday fined 288 vehicle drivers on the spot after registering offences. Police fined owners of 138 vehicles for obstructing traffic.

CM appeal
Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel has called upon US-based industrialists to invest in the high-tech industries and infrastructural sectors of Gujarat which have been recording 10 to 12 per cent growth in past two years. Keshubhai was addressing leading American and Indian industrialists at the "US Investment Summit" in Mumbai on Tuesday.
