PU Alumni Association meet on Nov 21
The Punjab University Alumni Association's annual general meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on November 21 at the English Auditorium on the campus. The university is creating a database of all graduates and wants all to enroll in the Alumni Association. PU alumni may get in touch with the association on campus through the Dean, Alumni Relations, or via e-mail at the address dar@panjabuniv.chd.nic.in or www.puchd.ac.in.

Prize distribution function held
The Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 47-D, Chandigarh, organised its annual prize distribution function today. Director Social Welfare Prithi Chand, Chandigarh, presided over the function. Brahmjeet Kalia, DEO, was also present on the occasion. The chief guest gave away prizes to students for achievements in academics and sports. Some teachers of the school were also honoured for their performances. The Inter-School state-level soft ball winner team of the school was also honoured.

Children's Day celebrated in Sec 34
Over 300 children participated in races, fancy dress competition and presented songs and dances at the Children's Day function organised here on Monday by the Sector 34 House Owners' Welfare Association. Lt Gen K.G. Gill PVSM was the chief guest and Maj Gen Ranjit Singh Herr presented prizes to the winners. Association patron Dr D.R. Mehta distributed sweets to the children.

Annual Day held
Young students of Petals, the primary wing of S.D. Public School, sang and danced to celebrate their annual day here on Monday. P.M.L.S.D. Public School chairman K.K. Sharma was the chief guest.
