CHANDIGARH, Nov 16: The members of the Coordination Committee of the employees of the Municipal Corporation and Chandigarh Administration organised a rally here today. They were demanding implementation of agreement reached after discussions were held with Adviser to UT Administrator Vineeta Rai on November 13.The agitating members also passed a resolution to ratify the decision to defer the strike till January 16.
Their demands include release of annual bonus for 1997-98, 1998-99, deputation status to MC employees transferred from UT, regularisation of work-charged employees and daily wagers and release of uniforms to all Class III employees.
Among those who addressed today's protest rally by the members of Municipal Corporation and Chandigarh administration were Ramesh Kant, Rakesh Kumar, Darshan Singh, Pyara Singh Kang, Bal Krishan, U.S. Mohi, Amrik Singh, Ram Lal, Daljeet Singh and Rajinder Katoch.
