PUNE, Nov 16: The college council and the dean of the B J Medical College and Sassoon general hospital have appealed to the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) to seriously reconsider their decision to strike from November 22.The appeal states that the difficulties and problems of the resident doctors at the local level have already been solved. ``The hospital mainly caters to the poorest of the poor and the neediest of the needy, who depend on our medical management for their health,'' says the appeal.
It also states that in case of a strike, the administration of the hospital is fully equipped and ready to meet any contingencies so that the patient services continue without any break.
