Kargil Express -- A Photo Journey

The Kargil crisis will remain etched in our memory forever. The bravery and valour of our jawans should never be forgotten. The Indian Express has captured those memories and will present an exhibition of exclusive pictures from the battlefront; pictures that show the agony and trauma of the soldiers, the sparkle of hope in their eyes, their victories as well as sufferings. Our photographers Praveen Jain, Ravi Batra, Navin Jora, Sanjay Sharma and Ashok Nath Dey risked their lives shot by shot with the Kargil soldiers.

Some of these pictures appeared in the papers and gave us exclusive live coverage of the war. The pictures will be put up at the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus on the 18th, 19th and 20th November and can be viewed between 11 am to 6 pm. Be there to acknowledge the significant contributions made by our jawans as well as our photographers. This is our chance. Let's show that we care.
