Thieves decamp with Rs 10,000, jewellery
In a house theft here yesterday, the thieves reportedly decamped with Rs 10,000 besides some jewellery articles. According to police sources, Sector 27 resident Ashok Anand reported that he found the locks of doors broken. Apart from cash, a gold chain, a gold ring and a pair of earings were stolen. The police have registered a case and are investigating.

One held under Excise Act
Bapu Dham colony resident Ashok Kumar has been arrested from the colony with 48 quarters of whiskey. A case under Excise Act has been registered by the police.

Car stereo stolen from Sector 17
A resident of Sector 16, Rakesh Goel reported to the police that a car stereo has been stolen from car. He said the car was parked near a cinema hall in Sector 17 when the theft occured. A theft case has been registered.
