VADODARA, Nov 17: The vadodara circle of the Archeological Survey of India will organise a photo-exhibition at Pavagadh-Champaner to highlight the monumental heritage of Gujarat, Daman and Diu. The exhibition is part of the World Heritage Week, which begins from Friday.The photographs will display the world heritage monuments besides conservation work being carried out by the circle at the centrally protected monuments of national importance. The celebration is aimed at generating awareness among the younger generation, especially college and school students.
The week-long celebration will have students participating at the monuments to study and know more about the history of these buildings. A special programme has also been arranged to take them around these monuments and the photo-exhibition. To encourage visitors, there will be no entry fee on Friday. Panchmahals District Magistrate A K Rakesh and MSU V-C Anil Kane will remain present at the function, among others.
