November has been declared as "the month for children" by the Human Resource and Development Ministry, with special focus on street children. The Board organises events every month related to the social theme of the particular month.

The theme of the play was "Freedom for Animals", which the children performed with great enthusiasm. Kamla Sharma, chairperson of Chandigarh Social Welfare Advisory Board inaugurated the forum.

The programme was organised through an NGO -- Progressive Education Society (PES) -- which works for the development of women and children.
