The honourary treasurer, W.D. Kain, presided over the function and distributed prizes to the healthiest baby, adjudged by a panel of experts comprising Dr Sangeeta, Medical Officer, FPAI, and Dr Pinkesh Verma, paeditrician, General Hospital, Panchkula.

The programme consisted of a health check-up, IEC activities regarding baby care, immunisation, health awareness, counselling on hygiene, nutrition, breast feeding and family welfare measures for mothers. The children were divided into three categories, according to age -- up to 1 year, 1-3 years, and 3-5 years.
