Dharna enters fourth day

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PANCHKULA, NOV 19: The dharna of the civilian employees of Military Farm, Ambala Cantt, organised at the main gate of Chandimandir Cantonment, Tank Chowk, since November 16, entered its fourth day today. About 75 civilian employees of the military farm are participating in the protest.

General secretary of the Union Nandoo Yadav said the dharna had been organised against anti-labour and anti-farm policies, by which services of about 150 daily labourers had been retrenched. He further alleged that they have been denied their legitimate right of 1/30th of pay, DA, bonus, paid weekly offs, national holidays, seniority and regularisation, etc.

He said the employees of the farm are being treated as bonded labour and 24 hours of work is taken from them.
