CPI(M) to meet on West Bengal Dy CM issue

CALCUTTA, NOV 19: CPI(M) West Bengal state secretariat meets here on November 26 to discuss the vital issue of creating the post of a deputy chief minister to lessen the burden on 86-year-old Chief Minister Jyoti Basu, even as other Left Front partners strongly favour a detailed discussion on it at the Front committee meeting.The CPI(M) state secretariat has been directed by the party's highest policy-making body politburo to decide on the post of deputy chief minister in the Basu Cabinet at the secretariat meeting and also to finalise its incumbent.
