Kalani swings Imran out

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NOVEMBER 19: Imran Khan of Delhi bagged the under-13 title of the 56th Indian Express-CCI Western India Open Squash Tournament at the Cricket Club of Inida today.

Imran routed Gautam Kalani of CCI 9-2 9-4 9-3. However, Imran's brother Amjad could not make it to the under-19 final as he went down to Junaid Nathani of Otters 9-0 9-6 9-1.

Junaid is now up for a double, with the possibility of winning both under-19 and under-17 events like he had in the Maharashtra State Open. For Junaid, though, the tournament is different, venue is different, but the opponents are same -- Neerav Tomar in under-17 and Mihir Kapoor in under-19.

Deepali Anvekar, having won the under-19 ousting Joshna Chinnappa 9-1 9-1 9-2, now will take on Mekhla Subedar in the women's final.

Gauran Nandrajog of Delhi avenged his defeat by Mihir Sheth in the State Open as he clinched the under-15 title from Sheth without dropping a game.

In the Open event, Gajendra Singh Rathore conceded his match to R S Brar when the games were 7-all inthe first set due to hamstring injury. In the other semis, Navneet Narain of Services brushed aside Anshul Manchanda 9-3 9-6 9-4.
