Tarun Gill wins
Tarun Gill of St Stephen's College defeated top seed BI Singh in a final of the squash event of the DDA Autumn Sports Gala. Tarun won 9-1, 7-9, 5-9, 9-5, 9-7. The other winners in other events included: S Balakrishnan who beat C J Khanna in table tennis; Vijay Goel who downed M M Kapoor in billiards; Atul who beat Raj Kumar in badminton; and Alok Bhalla who defeated S Nelord in tennis.

Chess title for Gurpeet
Gurpreet Pal Singh (6) won the HR Luthra Chess Championship despite being held to draw by Chander Pal (5). He along with Nasir Wajih were tied at six points but the former prevailed in tie-breaker. The other winners included Vishal Sareen, D Vallabhacharya, Vinod Khanna, Tania Sachdev, Sandeep Chitkara, Anoop Jairaj, Kishan Soni, Gagan Chitkara and Harish Sharma. Saket Khamboj won the u-12 title after beating Neeraj Mor in tie-breaker while Dhara Gupta finished third.

Carmel beat CJM
Carmel Convent girls defeated CJM while Ramjas SchoolNo 4 boys defeated Army Public School to lift Swami Chinmayanand Memorial basketball title.

Winners Club prevail
Winners Club won the first Sansi tournament beating Victory Club by six wickets at DDA ground, Khayla. Brief scores: Victory Club: 127 all out (Abhey Sharma 39, Joginder Singh 28, Anil Batra 4 for 27, Daleep 2/29, Charanjeet Singh 2/32) lost to Winners Club: 131 for 4 (Sarabjeet Singh 64, Manish Pandey 2/ 36, Narinder Suri 2/ 38).

Don Bosco triumph
Don Bosco down Apeejay (Sheikh Sarai) by five wickets in the Laxman memorial tournament.

Brief scores: Apeejay: 184 for 8 in 25 overs (Amit 84, Varun 46, Amardeep 3 for 22, Ansul 3 for 25) lost to Don Bosco: 187 for 5 (Azhar Mohd 81 not out, Praveen 2 for 19).

IIS Infotech win
IIS Infotech beat Asea Brown Boveri by 18 runs in the Dattu Phadkar memorial tournament.

Brief scores: IIS Infotech: 129 for 9 (PC Pandey 48 not out, Vijay Vancheswaran 3 for 30, Deepak 2 for 23) bt ABB: 111 all out (Abbasi 31, PC Pandey 4 for 24).

Gyan Bharti move up
Gyan Bharti School beat over Mata Gaujri 28-26 in the 15th Daulat Ram memorial basketball tournament. In other matches, Ryan International School drub Apeejay School 35-32 while Mother's International thrash Don Bosco 51-30.

Victory for Audit n Audit defeated Cabinet Sectt 3-0 and Railway Board beat Communication 3-0 in the Inter-Ministry football tournament.

Hindu humble RLA
Hindu College beat Ram Lal Anand College by 113 runs in inter-college pre-quarter-finals

Brief scores: Hindu: 274 (Amit Sharma 87, Sunit Sharma 61, rajan Gupta 67, Atul Bharadwaj 6/35) RLA: 161 (Mukul 35, Vishesh 25, Chetan Nanda 3/36, Manit Johar 2/30)
