PATIALA, NOV 21: The bhog ceremony of late Raj Kumar Kapoor, a social worker and father of Punjab Hindu Shiv Sena chief Vijay Kapoor was held here today.Punjab Pradesh Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh, local MP Parneet Kaur, former chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, All India Shiromani Akali Dal president Gurchran Singh Tohra sent their condolences on the occasion.
Among others who attended the bhog ceremony were District Congress Committee (I) Urban president Ved Parkash Gupta, Hindu Shiv Sena president Surinder Kumar Billa, Hindu Surakhsha Samiti All.
India president Sanjeev Bhardwaj, Congress leaders Brij Lal Goel, Balwinder Singh Bedi, Ajay Thapar, K.K. Sharma, Vishnu Sharma, Anil Mehta, BJP leader Anil Aggarwal and Patiala Beopar Mandal general-secretary Gulshan Singh Bedi.
Paying tributes to the late social worker, Ved Parkash Gupta said Kapoor had done immense work in the field of si ocial work and the people of the township had lost a true sympathiser. He hoped that the work started by Kapoor would be continued by his two sons -- Vijay and Ajay.
