RPI expels two Ulhas corporators

NOVEMBER 23: Two Republican Party of India (RPI-Athawale group) corporators from Ulhasnagar, Pramod Daale and B B More, have been expelled from the party for six years for defying the party whip and voting with the Shiv Sena-BJP during the general body meeting on October 20, 1999.Confirming the move, party leader Ramdas Athawale said: ``If they can't co-operate with the party even on a small matter like confirmation of minutes, we could do without them.'' Pramod Daale refused to comment on his expulsion, but a defiant B B More said: ``Athawale has himself been thrown out of the party and has no right to remove us.''
