Cong rival camps swear at each other

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, Nov 23: The factionalism in city Congress is all set to take a serious turn with both the rival factions - one led by Rajya Sabha member Suresh Kalmadi and another led by V N Gadgil - today holding separate meetings to chalk out further course of action.

The Kalmadi supporters today held meeting at the residence of Chandrakant Chhajed, MLA where Gadgil came under severe attack. Mayor Datta Gaikwad and Chhajeed in two separate press statements have urged the party high command to keep Gadgil away from all the party affairs for his alleged anti-party activities.

The statement has said Kalmadi had always honoured loyalist party workers while Gadgil was protecting those corporators, who had voted against party candidates in the PMT election. A separate meeting of Gadgil camp took place at Nehru stadium. The meeting reportedly flayed Kalmadi.
