In the boys semi-finals, in under 560 kg combined weight of the team, Punjab performed well to outplay J-K 2. Haryana defeated Uttar Pradesh by a similar margin.

In the girls semifinal in under-480 kg combined weight, J-K beat Karnataka 2-0, while Delhi beat Maharashtra 2-0.

Earlier in the boys quarterfinals, Punjab beat Karnataka 2-0, UP beat Rajasthan 2-0, Haryana trounced Tamil Nadu 2-0, and J-K drubbed Delhi.

In the eves category, Delhi beat Andhra Pradesh 2-0, J-K beat UP 2-0, Maharashtra outplayed Tamil Nadu 2-0 and Karnataka blanked Rajasthan 2-0.

The three-day championship is being organised by the Tug-of-War Federation of India.

The finals are scheduled to be held tomorrow.
