Burns death
One Chhaya Sunil Magan (32), a married woman residing at Umiyanagar area of Dindoli Road, died late on Tuesday night in the New Civil Hospital, where she was being treated for burns since November 18. According to the dying declaration of the woman, she was trying to heat water over a kerosene stove when it exploded burning her seriously. The Limbayat police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC.Breach of trust
The Salabatpura police on Wednesday registered a case of criminal breach of trust against a person, who allegedly duped a sari merchant of goods worth Rs 3.30 lakhs. Suman Mahadev Kadia, a textile trader at 307, 308 Indira Market, Ring Road told the police that though one Guruprasad Deviprasad Pande Market had taken 18 parcels of saris he still had to pay for it. The police have registered a case under section 406 of the IPC and are investigating further.
Missing
One Bhavesh Mitha Soni, a 31-year-old resident of Sayognagar Society, Bhatar, is missing since Monday evening, the Umra police said. Soni's brother, Pradip, told the police Bhavesh took his scooter (GJ 5 EE 3120), stating that he would return soon but was untraceable since. HC Shantaram Pandurang is investigating further.
Vehicle theft
A green Matador van (GJ 5 Y 9624) has been reported stolen from near Makkai Pool during the night hours, the Athwalines police said. Hanif Gaffar Memon told the police in a complaint on Wednesday morning that he had parked the vehicle in an open space behind the Jain Dehrasar at Makkai Pool, from where it was stolen during the night hours. The police have registered a case under IPC 379.
