VADODARA, Nov 24: The Gujarat Refinery Officer's Wives Club (GROWC) organised a `Children's Nite' on November 13, in the memory of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Around 85 children participated in various cultural programmes such as classical and modern dances, vocal, poetry and skits.P S Rao, Executive Director, Gujarat Refinery was the guest of honour. The programme started with the remembrance of Chacha Nehru. P S Rao and Suma Rao, president GROWC, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. All the cultural programmes presented on this occasion were prepared and presented by children aged 5 to 18 years.
The two-and-a-half-hour programme kept the audience spellbound and ended with a dance that encompassed the audience and crossed the age barrier between them. P S Rao gave gifts to the children as a token of appreciation. The programme was followed by dinner.
Customer satisfaction week celebrated: Since around 600 tank trucks of Petroleum products are daily loaded from the Gujarat Refinery, the Tank Truck loading section celebrated customer satisfaction week from Nov 15th.
The celebration was inaugurated by Executive Director, P S Rao. He also released a souvenir, which is useful for information and education on safety.
DGM (T) I/C Bankapur and DGM (Production) S N Rao spoke on the occasion. Rao gave details about the action taken for supplying eco-friendly and quality products to the satisfaction of the customers. He also gave details of the general facilities being provided to the drivers and cleaners who come to load the trucks.
CISF, marketing officials and representatives of Transporters and Petroleum dealers were present in large numbers. About 300 drivers and cleaners who gathered there applauded the Gujarat Refinery management for providing better services.
In the week-long programme, many interesting programmes like Customer satisfaction survey, practical demonstration of fire-fighting equipment and safety equipment, open-house customer meet were planned. Talk on emergency handling in TTL area and safe exit route, plant's safety, security and CISF's role and a Brain storming session on ``How to increase customer satisfaction level'' were also conducted.
