Another loot in Aslali

AHMEDABAD, Nov 24: Goods worth Rs 1.47 lakh were looted from a tea godown in Trimurti Estate in Aslali. This is the third burglary in the area in less than two months and the police are yet to get a clue in any of them.

Pradeep Shreeram Sharma, a resident of Maningar, in a complaint with Aslali police claimed that between 3 pm on Saturday and 9 am on Monday some unidentified persons broke into his godown and stole tea bags and plastic bags worth Rs 1.47 lakh. The dog squad was called, but it moved in Gota area and returned. Police are yet to make any headway. Police have registered a case under IPC 454, 457 and 380.

PSI Aslali R Nandasana is investigating the case. Meanwhile, this is the third incident of burglary within Aslali police station limits in less than two months. Earlier, about a month-and-half ago, a godown of Philips spare parts was burgled. Spare parts worth Rs 45 lakh was found missing. Recently in Maroli village in Aslali, one person was killed and cash and goods were looted.
