CHANDIGARH, Nov 24: Trials to select Chandigarh boys and girls team for the forthcoming 16th Youth National (under-16) basketball championships to be held at Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) from December 8 to 13, will be held on November 27, at DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, at 3 p.m. According to KS Bharti, secretary, Chandigarh Basketball Association (CBA), players born on or after January 10, 1983 are eligible for the trials. The participants should also bring their original date of birth certificate.Players should report to KS Bharti (secretary) at the venue.

A sports quiz on cricket was conducted by the Servants of the People Society on the concluding day of the month long Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial cricket tournament, here today.
The cricket tournament was organised in under-13, under-15 and under-17 group. More than 20 teams took part in the tournament.
Apart from winner and runners-up trophies, consolation prizes were also awarded to outstanding players in the meet.
Results: Under-13: 1 Sector 22-A, 2 Sector 22-C. Under-15: 1 Sector 24, 2 Sector 20-B. Under-17: 1 Sector 42, 2 Sector 2-D.
