Teacher training through theatre

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, NOV 28: Centre for Education and Voluntary Action(CEVA) and other voluntary organisation and individuals have come together to put up a stall, Friends of Children at the Chandigarh Carnival. The programme emphasises participative communication and interaction rather than exhibitive programmes.

They are organising theatre as a means for teacher training and learning. Besides this there will be talks, discussions and counselling on ways to deal with handicapped children. Also, slated is a demonstration on vermiculture, while some architects have volunteered to help children work on models of buildings.

The organisers hope that these workshops and demonstrations will help in demystifying a number of things for children.
