Netherlands film festival at Y B Chavan

NOVEMBER 29: The recent international film festival has barely ceased to be a conversation piece when Mumbai will play host to yet another festival of films, this time from the Netherlands. The festival, to be held between December 3 and 8, will have a combination of feature films, documentaries and animated films. All the films will be screened at the Y B Chavan Centre. There will be two shows daily: one at 3 pm and the other at 6.30 pm.

The fare includes three 3 Oscar-winning feature films The Assault (1986), directed by Fons Rademakers, Antonia's Line (1996) by Marleen Goris and Character (1998) by Mike Van Diem. Other feature films include The Polish Bride (directed by Karim Traida), Tate's Voyage (by Paula Van Der Oest), Left Luggage (directed by Jeroen Krabbe), Tropic of Emerald (directed by Orlow Seunke) and Based on the Novel (directed by Eddy Terstall). Fatal Reaction: Bombay is among the documentaries depicting single women and their struggle with the opposite sex.

Free passes are available atthe Y B Chavan Centre and at the Netherlands Consulate General.
