PSB organises cultural show for talented bank staff

CHANDIGARH, NOV 29: Punjab and Sind Bank organised a cultural show under its `Talent Bank Scheme' at Birla Matushree Sabhagar here today. The show was inaugurated by Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor S.P. Talwar. The function was presided over by S.S. Kohli, CMD, Punjab and Sind Bank. Kohli observed that the `Talent Bank Scheme' was launched by them in 1987-88 with the aim of identifying staff members at all levels, who have shown extraordinary achievement in fields of art and music, and to encourage such employees to exhibit their talent.Kohli informed that the bank's hockey team was winning laurels in different tournaments and so far the bank has 14 participants of international tournaments and Olympic games as members of the Indian hockey team. The bank is also running a hockey academy at Jalandhar to train and guide budding players. The programme lasted for nearly three hours.
