Kannur peaceful
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

KANNUR, DEC 3: Panoor and other sensitive pockets in Kerala's Kannur district, which witnessed gory incidents of violence resulting in the death of six political activists in the past two days, were limping back to normal, police sources here said.

But for two separate incidents of bomb-throwing in which four persons were injured near Koothuparamba in the district, no major untoward incident was reported from anywhere.

Police said three CPI-M workers sustained minor injuries when unidentified assailants hurled bombs at them at Kaitheri near Koothuparamba today. At nearby Palapparambu, a BJP worker was injured when attackers threw bombs at him.

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 (3) of CrPc were in force in six police station limits in and around Panoor. The order was being strictly enforced in Panoor and Kolavallur police station limits where people were not being allowed on the streets.
