WB Governor foregoes salary

CALCUTTA, DECEMBER 8: In a rare gesture, newly-appointed West Bengal Governor Viren Shah has decided to forego his salary for the post and draw Re one per month.The Governor has taken the decision ``with a view not to burden the State exchequer,'' a Raj Bhavan press release said here Thursday.
Shah was sworn in at a ceremony on Sunday in presence of a large number of political and industrial bigwigs.
