Gold rush for IT venture financing
Venture capitalists are flocking to India. The infotech boom in India has brought venture capital financiers in droves from Silicon Valley, and even local financial institutions which don't want to miss the action -- are jumping onto the band-wagon.




MTNL to offer services abroad -- Board
In a significant development, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has been empowered to provide telecom services within and outside India by way of joint venture or partnership and to fix, modify, increase or decrease tariffs for any of the services provided by the company.




Inflation rate falls further to 2.46 pc
Triggered by the hefty decline in vegetables and fruits prices, the inflation rate receded further by 0.39% to touch 2.46% on November 27, while maintaining its downward trend for second successive week.
