Naxals blast railway station
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA

HYDERABAD, DEC 12: Naxalites of the People's War Group (PWG) blasted the Rajampet railway station building in Cuddapah district of Andhra Pradesh early today, as part of their stepped up violence in protest against recent the killing of their leaders in an encounter.

Police said an eight-member naxalite squad entered the station building and forced the station master and other staff out of the building before blasting it with explosives.

In another incident late Saturday night, the extremists dressed like "Ayyappa" devotees shot and wounded a head constable at Hanamkonda in Warangal district. The injured policeman, Yadagiri, was admitted to a city hospital, where his condition was said to be out of danger.

In yet another retaliatory attack, the extremists torched an Andhra Pradesh State Road Trsanport Corporation APSRTC bus at Dholtapur in Karimnagar district.
