Manoj sets mark
AMIT SHARMA

PHILLAUR, DEC 12: A fight that was expected to be a keenly contested one turned out to be one sided when Army's AP Subbiah entered the final of the 50 metres rifle three position event with a lead of 15 points fetching another gold for the Army by an easy 13 point win over teammate TC Palangappa in the National shooting being held at the Punjab Police Academy on Sunday.

To win the silver, Palangapppa too did not face any competition from bronze medalist Samsher Singh representing the BSF and both the Army shooters who earlier won the gold and bronze in the same event during the recently concluded Commenwealth Games, continued their domminance.

However, once again the day belonged to Army shooters who wom six medals but were deprived of the limelight by upcoming Navy shooter Manoj Kumar.
