Young India... Dear Sir, The MTV generation as we are often referred to, was handed over a free India by the previous generation. Today, we enjoy freedom from foreign rule. For us each day is an 'Independence day'. It is something we take for granted. But we should remember that things were not quite the same for our countrymen till 1947. Our generation is heavily indebted to all those who were part of the freedom struggle. We owe something to the generations that follow. It is easy to sit back and make excuses. And there are many - blame the system, the population problem or the political scenario - for the country's present state. But aren't we all an integral part of that. Each one of us in a way is responsible for the country and the future path it takes. And it really is us, the youth of today, that will determine what the country is like tomorrow. We need to take some time out of our busy schedules to think about 'the India' we want to pass on to the next generation. Kabir Narang,UK
