Dheeraj Jadhav cracks a ton

MUMBAI, Dec 14: Opening batsman Dheeraj Jadhav's magnificent 106 off 267 balls with twelve fours helped Maharashtra score 255 for six off 90 overs in their first innings on the opening day of the West Zone under-22 cricket match against Gujarat today. Gujarat won the toss in the morning and put Maharashtra in to bat first.

Jadhav added 129 runs for the third wicket with Kaushik Aphale (63, 132b) to steady the boat after Maharashtra had lost two early wickets for just ten runs.

Off-spinner Vivek Gandhi (three for 24) and medium pacershyamal bhatt (two for 87) were among the wickets for Gujarat.

Brief scores: Maharashtra 255-6 in 90 overs (D Jadhav 106, K Aphale 63, V Gandhi 3-24, S Bhatt 2-87) vs Gujarat.
