Human Beings are Guinea Pigs
Dear Sir,
This is Soundirarajan.
I and my family really got shocked after hearing the tragedy.
It just shows the complacent, careless, and 'DON'T CARE'
attitude of our officials. Corruption and Lethargy has gone deep into
the blood of the officials who hold key positions. And in India, Corruption
and Callousness has peneterated in all walks of life. The recent incidence
is just an another proof for it. We always follow one rule...
"Things will happen. People will make noise. Press would write the problem,
Everybody would make noise and write to 'Letters to the Editor'. After
sometime everybody will cool down."
What happened to the 'SAFETY SYSTEMS IN TRAINS"...
Do we still remember the gruesome Train accident which happened a few
months ago ?..
What happened to the 'STREAMLINING OF SCHOOL BUSES"..
Do we remember the series of School Bus accidents in Delhi ?
What happened to the 'ENFORCEMENT OF STRICT CONTROLS"
Do we remember the the Head on Collision of a public transport Bus with
a Chemical ladden Lorry(Near Vellore in Tamil Nadu)?..
There is no end to this list....
Above all these 'MAN - MADE' sufferings, Our people
are also suffering from the Natural Calamities. The cyclone which hit
Orissa is a testimony for it. Had the Government been alert, the damage
could have been minimised. Anyway, Who is bothered ?
The Government... No ?
It's just going to stay in the memories of the affected people. Those
Hapless people would blame their fate and stay quiet. Getting back to
the Airport Incident, Why was n't there a warning board near the Escalator
? What happened to the switch which was supposed to be in the access
area ? What were the Airport authorities doing for more than 30 Minutes
?
It's really pathetic to see that the shameless, insane officials have
killed an innocent child for their stupidity. To add to that, all these
back-bone less creatures have been washing off their hands and pointing
the fingers at others.
But, one thing they do fast.. They decide the cost of Life immediately,
right at the spot. This time it was 5 Lakhs, because, it was an International
Airport. Had it been a loss of life in Train, it might have been 2 Lakhs.
Had it been in a Shandy, it might have been 50000.
Probably the concerned, would realise the importance and value of life
only when it comes to their dear ones.
Regards,
Soundir
