
Wagon R to hit road from Jan

NEW DELHI, DEC 25: The much-talked about tall boy car from the Maruti Udyog Limited (MUL) - Wagon R - would be available to customers from the second week of January, MUL managing director Jagdish Khattar said today.Talking to mediapersons here after unveiling of the ``original tall boy'' car, Khattar said prices of the three variants of the vehicle would also be announced some time in the second week of January at the time of the launch. All the three variants would be petrol-driven.
However, reliable sources had stated on December 23 that Wagon R is likely to be priced between Rs 3.75 lakh and Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi.MUL has set a target of selling around 50,000 to 60,000 W R in the next financial year. Rohtash Mal, Maruti Udyog Limited chief general manager (marketing and sales), emphasised that W R will not kill Zen.
