Vajpeyi new COO of Merrill Lynch MF

MUMBAI, DECEMBER 28: DSP Merrill Lynch Asset Management today announced the appointment of Alok Vajpeyi as executive vice-president and chief operating officer from January 1, 2000. In his role as chief operating officer, Vajpeyi will be responsible for the future development of the business, including strategic direction, marketing and distribution, legal, compliance and administration.

He will represent the company on all regulatory and industry bodies and be one of the spokesmen for the company along with Hemendra Kothari as chairman and James Beighton as managing director of Merrill Lynch Asset Management.
