Pune family awaits daughter's return
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

PUNE, DECEMBER 28: Even as the harrowing hijacking drama of the Indian Airlines plane continues at Kandahar, the Mathurawala family of Pune are anxiously awaiting the return of their daughter and son-in-law.

Sangita Gupta (27) and her husband Laxminarayan Gupta (35) had gone to Kathmandu on a visit to the Pashupathinath temple, Sangita's father Jawaharlal Mathurawala informed.

``We received the news of hijacking from our relative who called up from Haldwani last Friday evening when the plane was hijacked,'' he said. ``What will happen to them? Will they come back safe?,'' are the only questions Sangita's sixty-year-old father keeps repeating.

For Mathurawalas there is bigger cause for worry as Sangita's husband suffers from diabetics and blood pressure.
