Sebi gives more time tocos for corp governance
The Securities and Exchange Board of India has extended the deadline for the first set of companies to comply with the corporate governance code to March 31, 2001 from April 2000.




Electrolux FDI plan cleared
Government cleared 41 foreign direct investment proposals worth Rs 271.35 crore including a 100 per cent subsidiary for banking major ABN Amro and Rs 145 crore infusion by Swedish white goods maker Electrolux AB in its Indian outfit.




HPCL, TotalFina to invest Rs 200 cr
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and French oil major, TotalFina have decided to invest Rs 200 crore in an underground LPG (liquified petroleum gas) storage project in Visakhapatnam which would be the largest in Asia.
