Rama, Arnorld set state marks

MUMBAI, JANUARY 10: Two state marks were bettered in the 2nd Ryan International Sports Club state athletic meet that concluded on Sunday at the University Pavilion. Rama Shrikande of VPM Sports Club, Dahisar (girls U-10) and Arnold Cardoz of Protrack (boys U-10) set new marks in the 100m sprint. Rama clocked 15.3 seconds, while Arnold Cardoz stopped the clock at 15.2 seconds.

Nagindas Khandwala Sports Club was disqualified for fielding ineligible athletes, and the overall championships in the boys category was claimed by the hosts, who logged 100 points. United Athletes, Bandra, won the girls championship.

Boys (U-8): Viral Sheth (Childrens Academy, Kandivli), Benson Fernandes (Xavier's, Fort); (U-10): Arnold Cardoz (ProTrack). (U-12): Shailesh Neshad (Krida Prabhodhini, Thane). (U-14): Shakil Ahmed (Krida Prabhodini, Thane). (U-16): Samson Chougule (Dynamos, Thane). (U-18): Amol Kadam (VPM, Dahisar). (U-20): Maxson Furtado(Nagindas). Men: Santosh Boghar (Nagindas).
Girls (U-8): Pranjali Sagvekar (Xavier's, Andheri). (U-10): Pooja Sapre (MSS, Lalbaug). (U-12): Poorva Kanvinde & Vedani Rao (Dynamos). (U-14): Shimona D'Costa (United). (U-16): Anita Lobo (United). (U-18): Ketki Gune (Dynamos). (Women): Dipti Vaidya (Dynamos).
