Walsh not out of favour, says Lara

WELLINTON, JANUARY 10: West Indies captain Brian Lara said that nothing should be read into veteran fast bowler Courtney Walsh's omission from the sides for the last two limited-overs matches against New Zealand.

Lara said the 37-year-old Walsh had a lot to offer, but the West Indies were using the later one-day games as a development exercise for Mervyn Dillon and Pedro Collins. ``If there is one person I'm sure who is going to be allowed to decide his own future when he comes out of the game it's going to be Courtney,'' Lara said.
