
Labour trouble at Mahindra plant
MUMBAI, JANUARY 12: A strike by workers of the tractor division at a Kandivali plant of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has led to company's scrip falling by Rs 42.70 to Rs 491.30 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. "The workers of the Kandivli plant of tractor division of M&M, initially stopped work and thereafter resorted to illegal strike from the evening of January 11," the company said. "Subsequently, the Union of tractor division Kandivli has served notice of strike effective Jan 27," it said. Due to flash strike, the operations at its tractor division in Kandivali plant has grind to a halt.
