First global youth radio station launched

LONDON, JAN 12: Youth FM, the first global youth radio station and internet site run by and for young people, has been launched at the historic millennium dome here.

Operating under the umbrella of the millennium festival, the Youth FM, which was launched yesterday night, can be heard across Europe on Sky Digital channel and around the world in real audio at www.Youthfm.Co.Uk.

It has received a one million pound lottery grant and it is run as a collaboration between youth clubs in UK and media company The Milestone Group.
