MELBOURNE, JANUARY 12: Indian coach Kapil Dev blasted Saurav Ganguly's run out as ``childish'' and termed the batsman not grounding his bat in time as nothing but ``laziness'' after his dismissal at a critical juncture plunged the side to defeat against Australia on Wednesday.``When a player realises what he has done, there is little point in pressing the matter further. But a little later, after we have had a coffee, I will tell him his act did great disservice to the team,'' Kapil told reporters.
``I will tell him there is a difference between a good player and a great player. If he wants to be a great player, which he is, he ought to have stayed on and not done something so lazy as he did tonight''.
Asked why Sachin Tendulkar continued to bat at No 4 and not open, Kapil said: ``He is the captain. It's his choice. Tomorrow he might want to open, you never know.'' Tendulkar chose to criticise the itinerary. ``It's very tiring. It's not fair. We have no chance to recharge our batteries,'' he said.
