Syndicate Bank net up 73.5%

MUMBAI, JANUARY 19: Syndicate Bank has reported a 73.5 per cent jump in its net profit to Rs 88.53 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 1999, up from Rs 51 crore registered in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. The bank's operating profit rose 99.7 per cent to Rs 112.17 crore, up from Rs 56.17 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Its total income increased 19.8 per cent to Rs 717.79 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 1999 against Rs 599.05 crore in the same period last year.
