Depressingly familiar
Most of what was said and done during the Prime Minister's trip to the Northeast is depressingly familiar. As usual, there were requests from chief ministers for more funds to combat insurgency and complaints about the lack of funding for infrastructure projects.



United to split
The Samata Party has only its own deviousness to blame for its present troubles. It was astounding that its leaders could believe that they could carry on as members of the JD (United) inside Parliament while retaining their Samata label outside the House.



Justice in jeopardy
There is delay in the decision of disputes. Are the courts to blame? Or do the lawmakers need to do something? More than a thousand Acts have been passed by the Central legislature.
