Pentasoft plans Rs 1050 crore private placement
Pentasoft Technologies Ltd is planning to float India's largest private placement of 15 mn shares worth Rs 1,050 crore. The company has appointed SBI Capital Markets as the sole arranger for the issue, which will be done through the book-building route.




No work, no pay, and no dues either from Business India
It's just another day in the life of 100-odd staffers of the now-defunct Business India TV, better known as TVI. Since the company declared a lock-out on June 22, 1999, they come in the morning, hang around the Masjid Moth office in New Delhi.




Internet stock trading kicks off
Indian stock markets have finally caught up with the world wide web. Stock trading via internet became reality when SEBI chairman D R Mehta punched the first web order at 3.00 pm in Mumbai on Tuesday.
