Bookmakers up in arms

All 65 bookmakers at Mahalakshmi and Pune have expressed that the suspension of the licence of three bookmakers, including that of President of Bookmakers Association of Western India Ram Dhandekar of M/s Ram & Ram, is not justified as the enquiry is not completed. It may be recalled the licences were suspended on January 20 after a crime branch raid on January 16.

The next RWITC hearing in the case is schedule for Wednesday. It is understood that in case the three are not allowed to resume their work at stalls, all the bookmakers may resort to drastic steps.
