Das, Pal help East beat South

JAIPUR, FEB 1: An unbeaten ton by Palas Jyoti Das (112 not out) and a knock 70 by Subhojit Pal helped East Zone beat South Zone by six wickets in the Vijay Hazare (under-16) Trophy Inter-Zone Cricket League match here on Tuesday.

Brief scores: South Zone 253-8 in 50 overs (Deepak Chowgule 107, AT Naidu 50; Tusar Shah 3-30) lost to East Zone 255-4 in 44.4 overs (Palas Jyoti Das 112 not out, Subhojit Pal 70). North Zone 161 all out in 48.3 overs (Bhuvnesh Sharma 50; Naveen Choudhary 3-32) lost to Central Zone 164 for 6 in 42 overs (Ashraf Ali 33; Nitin Agarwal 3-36).
