McGrath, Warne clinch top honours


MELBOURNE, FEBRUARY 1: Glenn McGrath won the inaugural Allan Border Medal on Monday after being voted Australia's Cricketer Of The Tear. McGrath beat captain Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting and Shane Warne for the award. McGrath was also named Australia's Test Player of The Year. Leg-spinner Warne won the award for Australia's Best One-Day Player over the past 12 months after taking 20 wickets at 18 runs each in the World Cup. Rookie paceman Brett Lee received the Sir Donald Bradman prize as the Young Player Of The Year.
