List of corrupt Officers

Hi,
I was reading this article by Swati Chaturvedi on 24 Jan 2000 about CVC and its website. I would assume the person who critisizes such a step is worried to be published in this list sooner or later. If CVC is doing a publicity stunt, then its the acts of the Officers which is helping them and if they feel its not a good site, then avoid helping them!!!
Such sites should be maintained by the government with the status of such cases, so that general public knows who are they and how many of them are there. I am sure seeing a big and growing list will have some impact on the reader and create some awareness in the common citizen.
I feel Indians need to made aware of their corrupt surroundings in more graphical and pictoral ways. Awareness is the only way to fight against the public servants with selfish goals among us.
We should support this idea and help make it more effective.
If I was a IAS officer, I would try to make sure that I don;t become eligible for such a list rather than help destroy it.
If every Indian does only 10% of its daily act as a wellwisher of the country India, we will grow leaps and bound, I feel strongly about it.

Regards,
Vidyesh Mishra
