Firoz, Harmeet lead standings


Firoz Ali enjoyed a one-point lead over Vijay Kumar among professionals after 14 events of the PGA India Tour in the Mahindra Golf rankings announced on Tuesday.

Promising Harmeet Kahlon of Chandigarh led the field for the `Mahindra Rookie Golfer of the Year' title by being the highest money earner with Rs 2.7 lakhs, well ahead of Digvijay Singh (Rs 1.7 lakhs).Standings (after 14 events)

Professionals: 1 Firoz Ali (181 pts) Rs 6.7 lakhs prize-money; 2 Vijay Kumar (180) Rs 8.4 lakhs; 3 Mukesh Kumar (171) Rs 5.5 lakhs; 4 Rohtas Singh (118) Rs 4.3 lakhs; 5 Shiv Prakash (111) Rs 4.6 lakhs; 6 Basad Ali (99) Rs 3.5 lakhs; 7 Ali Sher (93) Rs 3.3 lakhs; 8 Amritinder Singh (88) Rs 4.5 lakhs; 9 Rafiq Ali (85) Rs 3.5 lakhs; 10 Sanjay Kumar (70) Rs 2.4 lakhs.
