Indian deportee flees from escorts at Manila airport
AGENCIES

MANILA, FEBRUARY 9: An Indian national, who was refused entry by immigration personnel for lack of travel documents, has escaped unnoticed from his escorts while at the departure lounge of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport here.

Danilo C Almeda, NAIA bureau of immigration head supervisor said yesterday that the accused Om Parkash, who had arrived on Monday afternoon on board of a Singapore Airlines flight, was ordered excluded after he was found in possession of a Special Return Certificate (SRC) which contained doubtful extensions and questionable signatures of officials from the bureau of immigration alien registration division.

Parkash reportedly escaped yesterday from the custody of a customer service agent of Singapore Airlines and officials from security and and safety corporation of the Philippines while in the process of checking in at the Singapore Airlines check-in counter.

Ronald Perez, the airlines customer service agent, said, "It happened so fast! Parkash was just in front of us, whensuddenly he disappeared. I don't really know how it happened."
